Dedria Echols Ward, Esq.
Founding Attorney
Dedria Echols Ward, Esq. is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Legacy Legal Group, where she provides thoughtful legal counsel grounded in service, leadership, and advocacy. Before entering the legal profession, Dedria devoted 14 years to education—experience that strengthened her ability to communicate clearly, listen carefully, solve problems, and guide others through important decisions. She also offers valuable experience in real estate, criminal litigation as a law clerk with the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office -Birmingham Division, and leading a personal injury legal team and supporting clients throughout the claims and litigation process. Dedria earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from The University of Alabama, where she proudly marched in the Million Dollar Band—Roll Tide! She later earned her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law. Dedria brings the heart of an educator and the preparation of an advocate to every client relationship. She is committed to providing practical guidance, personal attention, and representation tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, needs, and goals. Outside the practice of law, Dedria enjoys reading, serving through ministry, and spending time with her husband, Marlin; their triplets, Lailah, Gabrielle, and Marlin Jr.; and their dog, Judge; and of course Alabama Football!
